Description We are looking for dynamic, responsible, career minded and motivated team players to fill the position of Warehouse Representative with experience in forklift, hardwood lumber and sheet goods to join our team. Position Summary:
Monday through Friday with a lot of room for overtime. Hours vary and may change. Assist in all aspects of warehouse. Support the company goals for delivery of goods and services. (Day Shift 5am-5pm) Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to: Managing all aspects of shipping and receiving by logging in production/material received. Preparing outgoing shipments. Examining incoming shipments according to receiving documents for discrepancies and damaged goods. Processing returned goods authorization for products received from customers. Preparing customer shipments accurately and according to pick tickets by lifting, packaging, weighing and recording pertinent shipping information on pick ticket for internal use. Receive, organize, and prepare lumber and plywood materials for customer orders and deliveries Safely load and unload materials using a forklift and other warehouse equipment Accurately identify various lumber and plywood products Maintaining and organizing warehouse racks; always keeping area clean and orderly. Operating standard warehouse equipment such as a forklift and electric scale. Reporting all accidents and/or incidents to supervisor and/or human resources and completing the Accident Report on the same day of the occurrence. You are reliable. You maintain a good attendance record. You adapt to changes in assignments and priorities. You regularly exercise good judgment. You take on other duties that might be assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent Prior Warehouse experience preferred but not required. Forklift certified required. Prior knowledge of plywood preferred. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen (safety sensitive position). Basic knowledge of safety equipment and safety procedures. Physical Demands This position requires pushing, pulling, and lifting materials not exceeding 50 pounds. Any workload exceeding 51-60 pounds will require assistance. This position also requires grasping, writing, standing, reaching, sitting, lifting, squatting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, hearing ability and visual acuity. Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with employees, clients, vendors, and the general public. Must have the ability to hear warning horns or sirens. Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near and far visions. One more! This position requires manual and finger dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment. Working Conditions This position requires the employee to work Monday through Friday (A plus, we work very few weekends) and with a set schedule of hours.
