POSITION SUMMARY
The Lumber Warehouse Clerk assists in receiving, organizing, shipping, stocking, loading, stickering/un-stickering and distributing lumber throughout the El Cajon campus.

Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions Statement(s) Assists with lumber receipts and deliveries, including measuring board footage to ensure accuracy of delivery Operates computer and hand-held scanners to complete movement and conversion transactions, cycle counts, and other inventory-control related duties Assists in keeping the lumber area organized, stocked, and inventoried Adequately creates, verifies, and maintains lumber tags. Assists in stickering, un-stickering, stacking, and palletizing lumber and wood parts. Conduct inventory cycle counts on lumber. Communicates with supervisors and production departments about material or logistical concerns Assists in kiln loading and unloading, and kiln operations procedures Prepares lumber for transfer to Tecate facility. Prepares lumber for shipment to outside companies when necessary Uses forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unloads trucks/containers, inventory movements, etc. Assists in creating and maintaining documentation of all processes within the area Assists in any and all other duties assigned. Performs data entry as necessary. Participates in the Warehouse team 5S activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED). 3
  • 5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications & Licenses:
Ability to qualify to drive a company vehicle. Must have a valid driver's license. Must have a clean driving record for company insurance coverage.
Other Requirements:
Ability to climb and descend a ladder with materials and pulling, pushing, or lifting up to 45 lbs.
