Warehouse Specialist Job Description This role supports day-to-day warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, material handling, inventory activities. The Warehouse Specialist operates material handling equipment, uses SAP and basic computer applications, and ensures that orders are accurately picked, packed, labeled, and prepared for shipment in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities Perform daily shipping and receiving activities, including unloading incoming shipments, verifying documentation, and preparing outgoing orders. Handle materials safely and efficiently using pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment. Pick and pack customer orders accurately, ensuring correct items, quantities, and packaging standards. Palletize products and stage them for shipment according to truck lines, routes, and schedules. Process merchandise returns, including inspection, documentation, and proper disposition of returned goods. Maintain accurate inventory by labeling products, organizing stock, and assisting with inventory counts and adjustments. Use SAP and other computer systems to enter, update, and track orders, inventory movements, and shipping details. Apply labels and documentation to products and pallets in accordance with company and regulatory requirements. Support assembly processes as needed, ensuring components and materials are correctly prepared and assembled. Follow sanitation and housekeeping procedures to keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized. Use Microsoft Office and other computer applications to complete basic reports, communicate with team members, and support warehouse documentation. Adhere to all safety guidelines and operational procedures while operating forklifts and other material handling equipment. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity, accuracy, and quality targets. Essential Skills 2-3 years of warehouse experience preferred, including hands-on material handling and order fulfillment. High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency with shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse environment. Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely. Ability to perform order picking, packing, and palletizing with high accuracy. Knowledge of inventory processes, including labeling, stock organization, and basic inventory control. Experience using SAP or similar warehouse or ERP systems. Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to follow sanitation and housekeeping procedures in a warehouse setting. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in warehouse packing, pick and pack operations, and assembly processes. Experience working with truck lines and coordinating staged pallets for outbound shipments. Comfort working with merchandise returns, including inspection and documentation. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of El Monte, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
