Warehouse Material Handler Job Description This position is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment, and maintaining inventory records. The role plays a critical part in the supply chain by ensuring materials, parts, and products are efficiently received, stored, and shipped. Responsibilities Support all activities related to inbound shipments, including unloading deliveries from trailers to the dock using a hand truck and/or forklift. Handle heavy equipment unloads, segregate inbound material into direct and indirect categories, and stage material within the facility to support all external teams. Support the Production Control team with material moves for quality inspection, put away actions, and material issues for all production teams. Assist employees in preparing outbound parcel and freight shipments processed through the appropriate Shipment Request form. Assist the Shipping & Receiving and Production Control teams in clearing out dunnage and removing empty boxes and crates from the inbound dock. Essential Skills Experience supporting warehouse and production functions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive, aerospace, or related industries. Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems. Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root cause issues, and recommend solutions. Proficient in Microsoft Word systems, Excel, and other systems for work instructions creation. English communication skills (oral and written). Forklift operation experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets). Lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds. Automotive or EV experience. Inventory control and material handling skills. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a large, very clean manufacturing facility specializing in medium-duty electric vehicles. Employees will start on 1st shift, which could be 6am-2:30pm or 9:30am-6pm, and will transition to 2nd shift, which is 4pm-12:30am. Flexibility to work both shifts is required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garden Grove, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr.
