Material Handler

This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse distribution, heavy equipment operation, and materials handling within a collaborative environment. 1st shift - 4am to 12:30pm Responsibilities Safely load, unload, and transport materials using equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners. Perform order picking with precision using pickers and ensure accurate shipping and receiving processes. Manage inventory by organizing storage areas, conducting regular stock checks, and updating warehouse management systems accurately. Assist with construction-related materials handling when necessary, ensuring proper mechanical knowledge is applied during operations. Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and materials handling. Support warehouse supervision by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and reporting any safety hazards or mechanical issues promptly. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse distribution or similar logistics environments with familiarity in shipping & receiving procedures. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks; certification preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery and safety standards outlined by OSHA. Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and order picking technologies. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail during order picking and load/unload tasks. Prior warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for candidates interested in growth opportunities within the team.
