This entry-level manufacturing position supports all production departments within our corrugated packaging facility. The Utility position plays a critical role in keeping production running efficiently by assisting machine operators, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, handling finished products, and performing general labor duties throughout the facility. Important Scheduling Information New-Indy Packaging is currently building out our 3rd Shift operations. While this position is being hired to support 3rd Shift, new employees will initially train on either 1st or 2nd Shift until 3rd Shift is fully operational and training has been successfully completed. Candidates must be flexible and available to work 1st, 2nd, and eventually 3rd Shift as business needs require. This position also requires the ability to work weekends, overtime, and 12-hour shifts. Flexibility with scheduling is a condition of employment. Essential Job Responsibilities Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment throughout the facility. Remove scrap material and waste from production areas. Assist machine operators during production runs and changeovers. Count, stack, sort, and prepare finished corrugated products for shipment. Read and follow factory work orders and production instructions. Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications. Complete required production and quality documentation accurately. Assist with packaging, material handling, and other production support duties as needed. Report equipment or safety concerns to supervision. Cross-train in multiple departments and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Manufacturing or warehouse experience is preferred but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attendance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic math and reading comprehension skills. Willingness to learn multiple production functions. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels. Schedule Full-Time Position is intended for 3rd Shift . Training will be conducted on either 1st or 2nd Shift before transitioning to 3rd Shift. Must be available to work weekends, overtime, and 12-hour shifts as business needs require. Reliable attendance and schedule flexibility are essential for this position.
