Job Description
Job Summary BattagliaStile is seeking a dependable and hardworking Warehouse Associate & Pickup Driver to support our daily warehouse operations. This position regularly drives a company work truck to pick up tile, stone, and other materials from vendors and safely transport them back to our warehouse for inspection and storage. The role also includes receiving and organizing materials, preparing customer orders for pickup, and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse. The ideal candidate has previous experience driving a work truck and working in a warehouse, delivery, moving, construction, or material-handling environment. Responsibilities
- Drive a company work truck to pick up materials from vendors and transport them safely to the warehouse.
- Review vendor pickup details to ensure the correct materials, quantities, and orders are received.
- Safely load, secure, transport, and unload tile, stone, and other heavy or fragile materials.
- Receive, inspect, label, photograph, and organize incoming materials.
- Report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials to the Warehouse Manager.
- Store materials safely in their designated warehouse locations until customer pickup.
- Prepare and verify customer orders for pickup.
- Assist customers with loading materials into their vehicles.
- Complete basic vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Keep the warehouse, loading areas, equipment, and company work truck clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety procedures and proper material-handling practices. Assist the Warehouse Manager and other departments as needed. Qualifications
- Previous experience driving a work truck or similar vehicle is strongly preferred.
- Valid California driver's license required.
- Clean, insurable driving record required.
- Previous warehouse, moving, construction, or material-handling experience is preferred.
- Comfortable driving to vendor locations throughout Southern California.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Professional communication and customer-service skills.
- Comfortable using a smartphone for navigation, calls, texts, and photographs.
- Forklift or pallet-jack experience is a plus but not required. Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to safely team-lift heavier or oversized materials.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working in warehouse and outdoor loading conditions.
Pay:
$20.00- $25.
