Warehouse Associate / Electronics Processing Technician Ewaste Guardians Los Alamitos, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $18 - $22 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications Computer literacy Moving Data Security (Data management) Safety standard operating procedures Full Job Description Overview E Waste Guardians is looking for motivated Warehouse Associates / Electronics Processing Technicians to join our team in Los Alamitos, CA. This position is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow in the electronics recycling, IT asset processing, data sanitization, testing, repair, and warehouse operations field. This is not just a regular warehouse position. Our team receives, sorts, tests, repairs, tracks, and responsibly processes used electronics. Employees help keep inventory accurate, maintain organized warehouse areas, protect data-containing devices, and support safe and responsible recycling practices. Experience in warehouse work is helpful, and experience in electronics recycling, data sanitization, data destruction, electronics testing, repair, refurbishing, or IT equipment handling is a strong plus. Training will be provided for the right candidate. Responsibilities Receive, unload, sort, label, and organize electronic equipment, components, pallets, gaylords, and warehouse materials. Assist with inventory control by counting items, updating records, checking product status, and helping maintain accurate warehouse information. Sort electronics by type, condition, reuse potential, repair potential, scrap category, and processing status. Identify and properly handle data-containing devices such as laptops, desktops, servers, hard drives, SSDs, tablets, cell phones, and other storage media. Move data-containing devices to the correct secure area and follow company data security procedures. Assist with data sanitization, data destruction, and validation records when trained and authorized. Assist with basic testing, repair, refurbishing, cleaning, grading, and preparing electronics for resale or recycling. Separate approved products, repairable items, scrap materials, batteries, universal waste, and items requiring special handling. Prepare products and materials for shipment, including packaging, palletizing, wrapping, labeling, and assisting with BOL/shipping paperwork. Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks and warehouse equipment. Follow company procedures for safety, quality, environmental protection, data security, and responsible recycling. Work with supervisors and team members to improve warehouse organization, productivity, and process accuracy. Experience and Qualifications Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, palletizing, sorting, or material-handling experience is preferred. Experience in electronics recycling, IT asset disposition, computer parts, electronics testing, electronics repair, refurbishment, or data sanitization is a plus. Basic computer and data-entry skills are helpful. Ability to count accurately, follow instructions, read labels, and maintain organized records. Ability to work carefully with electronics, serial numbers, asset tags, and product categories. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures. Ability to work in a team environment and communicate issues clearly to supervisors. Forklift certification is a plus but not required. Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to learn. Must be able to follow safety, quality, environmental, and data security requirements. Must be able to stand, bend, lift, move, and handle warehouse materials during the workday. Team lifting or equipment will be used for heavy or oversized items. Preferred Skills Electronics testing or repair experience. Data wiping or data destruction experience. Experience handling laptops, desktops, servers, hard drives, SSDs, cell phones, tablets, printers, monitors, or computer parts. Experience with inventory systems, Excel, Google Sheets, warehouse logs, or basic data entry. Pallet jack or forklift experience. Experience working in recycling, e-waste, IT equipment, warehouse distribution, refurbishing, or resale operations. Growth Opportunity This position has room to grow.
