Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Labor Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic distribution team. In this role, you will be an essential part of our warehouse operations, responsible for handling a variety of tasks that ensure smooth and efficient movement of goods. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute directly to our success in fulfilling customer orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting overall warehouse productivity. This position offers an engaging environment where safety, teamwork, and operational excellence are prioritized. Responsibilities Assist with loading and unloading shipments using heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to ensure safe and efficient materials handling. Perform stock stocking, order picking, packing, and order fulfillment activities with precision using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS). Manage inventory control processes by conducting regular cycle counts, verifying stock levels, and updating records in AS400 or similar systems. Operate heavy equipment including cranes, forklifts, and mechanical tools safely according to OSHA standards to move materials within the warehouse. Support shipping and receiving functions by preparing shipments, verifying orders against shipping documents, and ensuring accurate documentation. Maintain a clean and organized work environment by adhering to safety protocols, including OSHA regulations, and properly storing materials on pallets or shelving units. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution processes and improve overall workflow efficiency. Requirements Prior warehouse experience is highly preferred, especially in manufacturing or construction environments involving heavy lifting and materials handling. Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers; certification is a plus. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 or similar inventory control software. Mechanical knowledge related to packaging, load & unload procedures, shipping & receiving processes. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations; commitment to maintaining a safe workplace. Strong organizational skills with experience in inventory management, stock control, and order fulfillment processes.
