Job Description
Position Summary The Production / Material Handler is responsible for supporting manufacturing and warehouse operations by moving materials, supplying production lines, packaging finished goods, and maintaining inventory accuracy. This role ensures materials are available when needed, assists with production activities, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Transport raw materials, work-in-progress items, and finished goods throughout the facility. Supply production lines with materials and components to support manufacturing operations. Load, unload, sort, and stage materials for processing, storage, or shipment. Package, label, and prepare products for distribution according to company standards. Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts (if certified). Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors of material shortages. Perform routine quality inspections to identify damaged or defective products. Maintain accurate records of materials received, moved, and shipped. Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and warehouse organization. Follow production schedules and meet daily productivity goals. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and housekeeping standards. Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and quality requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or material handling environments preferred. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Basic math, counting, and inventory tracking skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification as required. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work in a manufacturing or warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels. Ability to perform repetitive tasks and maintain productivity standards. Compensation Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
