Warehouse Material Handler 1 Tube Service Co. - 3.1 Milpitas, CA Job Details Full-time $22 - $24 an hour 22 hours ago Qualifications Measuring tapes Basic math English High school diploma or GED Dimensional measurements Safety protocol implementation Full Job Description The Warehouse Worker is responsible for reviewing incoming customer orders, pulling identified material from racks, unloading trucks with incoming material and /or loading trucks for outgoing orders. The Company will train the individual in the use of a forklift, side loader and overhead crane. Reviews incoming customer orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine which products must to be pulled to fill each order. Inspects material for size, width, length, etc. Responsible for printing out shipping tags with all necessary information (tag number, PO number, heat number) and marks material with the identifying information. Responsible for pulling each order and placing materials directly on to truck for delivery or to place in a holding bay. Also responsible for transporting material from receiving or production area to storage or to other designated areas. Responsible for opening crates and containers as well as sorting and organizing materials onto racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size type or product code. Records amount of materials received or distributed. Weighs / counts materials for distribution within plant to ensure conformance with Company standards. Reports any irregularities to supervisor. Maintains work area in a clean, safe and orderly condition. Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods. Read bills of lading to determine assignment details. Other duties as assigned.
