Position Overview We are seeking a Spin General Laborer to assist in various shop floor tasks, including material handling, equipment maintenance, and general housekeeping. This role is ideal for an individual who is reliable, adaptable, and willing to take on a variety of tasks to support the metal spinning department and overall production operations. Prior experience is not required, but a strong work ethic and ability to work in a manufacturing environment are essential. Key Responsibilities Assist machine operators and technicians with loading/unloading materials. Perform general shop maintenance tasks, including cleaning work areas, organizing tools, and disposing of waste materials. Move and stage raw materials, tooling, and finished products as needed. Use basic hand tools and power tools to assist in minor repairs and shop upkeep. Inspect and maintain basic shop equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation. Support the setup and breakdown of jobs in the metal spinning department. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Perform other duties as assigned to support production and shop efficiency. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in manufacturing or general labor is a plus but not required. Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and shop maintenance is helpful. Ability to follow instructions and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery. Why Join AST?
