About Us Mrs. Nelson's Book Company is a trusted wholesaler specializing in K-12 books, serving schools across the U.S. We collect used books from schools, sort them to identify valuable titles, and resell quality books to other schools and on Amazon. Job Description We are hiring a dependable and hardworking person to join our warehouse team during our busy summer season (Now - September). This entry-level role involves sorting through used books, assessing their condition, preparing them for resale, and prepping outbound shipments. No prior experience is required—just a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining an organized workspace.
Responsibilities:
Sort through pallets and gaylords of used books, following company procedures to identify valuable titles. Assess book conditions (from New to very damaged) for inventory purposes. Shelve sorted books into the warehouse inventory. Pull books to fulfill new orders Clean and prep books to be packed and shipped Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
No prior experience required; training provided. Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for the duration of the shift. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures. Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse (hot in summer). Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Work Environment:
Full-time, seasonal position from Now through September. Work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse; summer temperatures can be warm.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
