Warehouse Clerk Job Description The Warehouse Clerk plays a crucial role within the Materials department by efficiently receiving incoming products, managing inventory, and pulling materials for production and shipping. This position ensures accurate material flow, maintains organized stockroom operations, and supports timely production and delivery. Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments; verify materials, quantities, and condition against purchase orders and packing slips. Transfer items to the stockroom and ensure proper labeling and storage. Pull materials for production work orders and distribution sales orders. Issue materials to jobs in a timely and accurate manner. Perform cycle counts and support physical inventory activities. Reconcile materials returned from completed work orders. Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and workflow efficiency. Communicate shortages or discrepancies to Purchasing, Manufacturing, or other departments. Participate in improving inventory and material-handling processes. Transport materials throughout the facility safely using a forklift. Utilize internal systems for reporting, documentation, and transactions. Essential Skills 3+ years of receiving, stockroom, or inventory control experience. Stand up forklift experience. Order processing and order pulling. Proficiency in computer use and basic ERP system knowledge. Cycle counts and inventory control. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with inventory management and data entry. Why Work Here? Work Environment The position operates in an industrial manufacturing environment on the 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday. While the environment is not temperature-controlled, it offers hands-on experience with diverse materials and equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Marcos, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
