In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling inventory, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring smooth shipping and receiving processes. Responsibilities Safely operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, move, and organize inventory. Assist with order picking and packing using order picker machines and manual handling techniques to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying shipments against purchase orders, preparing items for shipment with proper packaging, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations like OSHA standards. Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and PPE use; ensure heavy lifting is performed safely with proper techniques. Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by stocking shelves, managing materials handling tasks, and following safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to improve warehouse operations through effective communication, safety protocol adherence, and technical proficiency in warehouse management systems.
Requirements Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification; experience operating reach trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and other heavy equipment is highly preferred . Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items safely; knowledge of OSHA safety regulations is essential. Basic math skills for inventory counting, order processing, and documentation accuracy. Experience in shipping & receiving procedures including order picking & packing using various materials handling equipment. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards. Technical proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 or equivalent; familiarity with inventory control practices is a plus. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude; previous warehouse supervisor experience is advantageous but not required.
