Job Description
Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouseman specializing in Shipping & Receiving to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement of goods within our warehouse, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining seamless shipping and receiving operations. Your proactive approach will help optimize warehouse distribution processes and uphold safety standards across all activities. This position offers an energetic environment where your skills in warehouse management systems and equipment operation will directly contribute to our operational excellence. Duties Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments using equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to ensure accuracy and safety. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision to meet customer specifications. Load outbound shipments onto trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and load planning guidelines. Maintain accurate inventory records ensuring stock levels are current and discrepancies are addressed promptly. Stock shelves systematically, perform regular cycle counts, and assist with inventory audits to support inventory accuracy. Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts and reach trucks, following all safety procedures and certifications. Collaborate with the team to streamline warehouse distribution processes, improve order fulfillment times, and enhance overall operational flow. Skills Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks and pallet jacks in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Excellent understanding of shipping & receiving procedures along with order picking & packing techniques. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing. Skilled in using order pickers, load & unload equipment, and packaging tools efficiently and safely. Familiarity with warehouse distribution standards and best practices for stocking and inventory management. Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure smooth workflow across all warehouse operations.
