Job Description

About the Role rPlanet Earth is looking for a Material Handler to support warehouse operations while owning assigned recycling and byproduct handling responsibilities. This role focuses on safe material movement, inventory accuracy, shipping and receiving efficiency, and maintaining a clean, food-safe, and organized work environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse setting, is safety-driven, and is comfortable operating forklifts and working with warehouse management systems. Key Responsibilities Safety & Compliance Prioritize safety in all job duties and follow all rPlanet safety policies, OSHA requirements, GMP, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures. Identify and report safety hazards, quality concerns, and contamination risks immediately. Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready warehouse and recycling areas. Warehouse Operations Receive, stage, and process inbound and outbound materials using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including Oracle EBS where applicable. Load and unload trailers and inspect trailers prior to loading. Coordinate shipping and receiving activities to meet production and transportation schedules. Monitor LGV operations (where applicable) and clear blocked locations to maintain workflow. Validate SKUs and reconcile system inventory with physical counts; investigate and document discrepancies. Prepare shipments and ensure accurate documentation, including bills of landing and trailer seals. Recycling & Byproduct Handling Move, stage, and manage recyclable materials, residue, and byproduct streams efficiently. Perform timely exchange and staging of recycling and residue bins to support operations. Bale recyclable materials (such as plastics) and manage ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Weigh, label, and stage byproducts accurately for shipment or disposal. Operate forklifts and material handling equipment with multiple attachments. Complete daily forklift inspections and report equipment issues promptly. Additional Duties Rebuild or consolidate damaged pallets as needed. Correct material spills and support housekeeping standards. Supply production with non-inventory items such as labels, bags, and other materials. Maintain accurate logs, forms, and operational records. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support cost-reduction efforts. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling environment. Experience operating forklifts in a fast-paced setting. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties throughout the shift. Preferred Qualifications Forklift certification. Experience with WMS, Oracle EBS, and/or LGV systems. Experience with recycling, waste recovery, or byproduct handling.
