Donation Driver and Warehouse Assistant

This positions consists of two responsibilities: 1) Working at the store in the donation handling/warehouse assistant; 2) A backup driver when we have large donation pickups, dump runs, or inter-company transfers. When working at the store, the candidate will be making cardboard bales or clothing bales, keeping the work area clean and organized for the production staff, sweeping the store floor, helping donors with donations when they drive up, and other duties as assigned. As a driver, candidate will be responsible for making trips to the Chico and Redding for donation pickups on a semi-weekly basis, and other duties as assigned. For donation pickups at households, driver will be driving to nearby cities and neighborhoods, mostly distances of an hour away. They will be required to load their truck with donations from the households from which our Charity will be advertising. The driver will load neatly and in an organized manner in order to fill the truck with donated items from donor's households. The driver will be representing a charity picking up donated goods, therefore must remain calm and polite in front of people who are donating. The driver will work with the team of other drivers, and may from time to time help the other drivers finish their routes if the other drivers are getting too full with donations. The driver will unload their truck as a team, and the trucks from the other drivers on their team, at either the Chico, Yuba City, or Fairfield store. The driver must take care of the truck as if it were their own - take pride in your vehicle. You will be asked to wash your truck as to remain presentable to the charity. The driver will be given company credit card for gas and truck-related purchases. You may drive the truck home with you and start your work day from your home. The driver will use their phone for navigational purposes, and the company will reimburse you $35 for data usage monthly. Will be trained on how to drive a forklift.
