Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform picking, packing and shipping of orders ensuring that all orders meet quality and accuracy standards according to established procedures. Cycle count inventory according to established procedures and assist with developing actions to correct inventory problems. Develop and maintain a general working knowledge of all SCARPA products. Assist with product quality control, packaging, and rework projects as assigned. Establish and maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment. Ensure packages leaving the facility are packed efficiently and of consistent visual quality. Stocking of warehouse inventory and shipping supplies and ensure that sufficient stocks are maintained. Communicate clearly and effectively to team members within and outside of the department. Participate in department, staff, and company meetings as necessary. Other Duties and Responsibilities Develop and maintain working competence and knowledge of the SCARPA North America's company warehouse management and transport management systems. Develop and maintain technical knowledge and certifications necessary to perform the required tasks of this job. Work independently or as a team for tasks and projects. Uphold SCARPA North America's core values, mission statement, and business goals. Read and follow SCARPA North America's workplace policies and guidelines as set forth in the SCARPA Employee Handbook and as posted onsite. Other duties as assigned by the DC Manager or DC Supervisor. Customers The position requires the skills to maintain and enhance relationships with SCARPA customers, retailers, dealers, vendors, distributors, and other individuals and entities with whom SCARPA works.
Internal:
SNA Distribution, Operations, Administrative, Sales, & Accounting departments.
External:
SCARPA Italy, SCARPA retail dealers, retail consumers, professional customers, freight carriers, freight forwarders, US and foreign Customs departments. The following are requirements for the job: Required Education, Licenses, Certificates or Knowledge High School Diploma or related experience preferred Authorized to work in the United States High level of detail recognition, organization, and learning aptitude Proficiency with technology and software such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Windows. Physical Demands Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and move up to 20lbs repeatedly. Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a working shift. Physical labor, standing and walking, general warehouse work. Safely walk up and down rolling ladders up to 12' high. Safely work alongside equipment such as forklifts and power tools. Work Environment Retail warehouse, non-airconditioned, heated, non-manufacturing Mild to moderate strenuous labor at times Work hours: Monday through Friday, 35-40 hours per week between the hours of 8am- 5pm with occasional weekends and overtime as needed.
