POSITION SUMMARY
Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in the manufacture of quality products by maintaining the highest level of inventory maintainability in our warehouse. This position is responsible for the efficient performance of warehouse activities and for maintaining working relationships and communication with the Warehouse personnel and Shipping Department to control the orderly handling of inventory.
JOB DUTIES
The Warehouse Associate position is responsible for tasks including, but not limited to: Stocking inventory released from our Quality Control Department. Utilizing Kardex, a vertical inventory system, in the movement of product. Track and shift inventory locations using our ERP system. Printing backorder report and generating Pick Tickets in IQMS system. Continual consolidation of warehouse inventory. Stock outsourced and purchased merchandise. Rectify inaccurate label quantities. Restock Quality Control department with finished goods. Conduct a daily cycle count of inventory. Adjustment of inventory from -QC (clean room) to non -QC inventory. Ordering of warehouse supplies. Communication with production to plan for space availability in warehouse. Improvement of warehouse organization and systems where needed. Adherence to quality control procedures. Daily sweeping and general housekeeping of work area. This position regularly requires lifting of items over 40 pounds throughout the workday, prolonged periods (up to 8 hours) of standing/sitting, and repetitive loading/unloading motions including twisting and bending.
EXPERIENCE
Education, Training and Expectations High school diploma or equivalent and 1 year warehouse experience. Able to accurately read/follow written instructions & perform simple mathematical calculations. Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work independently, as well as within a team. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and common programs for label printing, as well as the ability to learn our ERP software. ( Experience with IQMS or other ERP software is desirable.) Strong attention to detail. The ability to multitask and strong organizational skills. Completes the training that qualifies the individual to perform the duties of operating the machines, equipment, and the use of the necessary materials. Utilizes the appropriate personal communication and interaction skills required to work with others in a team-based environment to achieve team and company goals.
