Job Description

Warehouse Associate Position Summary The Warehouse Associate will be a member of the parts team and will assist the service department with more tasks pertaining to the department's operations and management. The position will report to the Branch Parts Manager. Responsibilities Perform daily receiving duties Receiving all in-bound small packages, offloading parts and packages Verify count of goods to packing slips Receive breakdown parts order in Extend Sort parts packing list by NDA, 2nd day followed by ground Attached parts to parts and service order based upon criteria listed above Advise customer and parts departments when order is complete for pick up, stage orders in respective areas for customer pick up Pick and confirm transfers Receiving all in-bound Volvo stock orders, off load parts and small packages and verify count of goods to packing slips Provide verified order counts and packing lists to Parts Manager to be received Verify bin locations on tags, inspect packages for damage and place parts in respective locations Perform cycle count Responsible for outbound shipments and pickups Pull parts from inventory according to printed pick list Stage parts for outbound complete orders, package order for shipping Assist in loading large part packages for customer Arrange for LTL freight through specified carrier (R&L, XPO, YRC) Ship back warranty parts to manufacturer, Volvo MI warranty parts per SOP and Volvo MMI and quarterly returns Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and organization, re-arrange stock for accessibility Load cores and tag appropriately, maintain list of cores Oversee maintenance of Hyster forklift (Berlin branch only) Additional duties assigned by manager Skills Required Must be able to multi-task Highly organized, and strong attention to detail Forklift experience Self-motivated and proactive Professional and technical verbal written communication Physical Requirements Must possess high physical stamina to handle fast-paced environments Must have the ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds frequently Key requirements include standing/walking repetitive bending, stooping, crouching and lifting Must be ok with working in varying temperature Experience and Education Experience in logistics and warehousing Construction equipment knowledge a plus High school diploma or equivalent
