Job Description

Schedule:
8 hour shift Monday - Friday 12:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. Overtime opportunity on weekends during same scheduled hours.
Location:
Onsite in Newington, CTSUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring the proper flow of materials to the printer operators and for maintaining the Print Room and Kanban staging areas in a clean, organized and safe manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIESFollow the appropriate Kanban request procedures to ensure requested forms are pulled from the warehouse as directed by the shift supervisor and/or team lead.

Receive and verify all incoming forms, and verify the correct form number and item number has been supplied by either the warehouse or Print Services before bringing materials inside the print room.

Ensure efficient production by affirming operators have ample materials and correct forms. Follow procedures to prepare rolls for operations, as follows:

Remove plastic wrap, bands, wooden cores and unsuitable materials.

Furnish printer operators with material inside the print room, by providing no more than one backup roll per printer on the print room floor.

Return forms to warehouse leftovers area after completion of the job, at the direction of the shift supervisor or team lead.

Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Sweep floors throughout the shift, and assist operators in cleaning up paper waste and debris around the printers.

Maintain cleanliness in all areas within the department at all times. Clean individual areas at the direction of the manager, supervisor, and team lead and turn them over to the oncoming shift in perfect order.

Report safety concerns to manager, supervisor or team lead.

Handle data processing and customer service representative recycle bin requests once per shift.

Follow procedures to prepare area for shift turnover, as follows:

Remove all trash bins.

Bring empty bins back into the room.

Deliver all small/applicable jobs to the small job rack, and fill out the small job rack log correctly for each delivered job.

Comply with all company rules and regulations at all times.

Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data.

Keep manager/supervisor informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives.

Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or GED plus a minimum of one years experience operating manual and/or electrically powered hand trucks and forklift COMPETENCIESAbility to operate hand trucks both manually and electrically poweredAbility to lift up to 75 poundsAbility to move/rolls materials weighing up to 1000+ poundsClear communication and reliabilityAttention to detail and quality-focused mindsetAbility to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
