Job Description
About CPM CPM is a packaging distribution and 3PL services company supporting consumer, industrial, and medical customers. We provide custom packaging solutions and complement them with kitting, assembly, and order fulfillment services. As we expand our cold chain and regulated product offerings, we are strengthening our procurement function to support scalability, margin discipline, and service reliability. Role Summary The Warehouse Shipper is responsible for ensuring the right materials are packed and shipped to client specifications to support CPM's clients and growth objectives. This role is responsible for orchestrating accurate packing, shipping and documentation surrounding shipments to CPM's clients. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, experienced in systematic processing of orders, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced distribution and light manufacturing environment. The candidate must be capable of ensuring the quality and accuracy of materials being shipped to clients as well as handling all related documentation. They must also be comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with sales, client services, and the warehouse operations team. Key Responsibilities Shipping & Order Fulfillment
- Pull client sales orders from warehouse management system
- Prepare shipping documents such as packing slips, bills of lading, and manifests
- Verify items, quantities, and order accuracy
- Inspect products before shipment for damage or defects
- Pack materials securely to prevent damage in transit
- Label outgoing packages and pallets with correct shipping information
- Occasionally select materials from stock based on client orders
- Coordinate with carriers and transportation providers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
- Comply with shipping regulations and hazardous material requirements when applicable Inventory Management
- Update warehouse management system and maintain accurate shipping records and documentation
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct cycle counts or inventory audits as needed
- Report inventory discrepancies, shortages or damages timely for investigation and correction
- Resolve shipping errors and client order issues to ensure inventory accuracy in real time Warehouse Operations and Environment Safety
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow OSHA and workplace safety regulations and report safety hazards, accidents or issues
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks (if certified)
- Load shipments onto trucks, trailers, or delivery vehicles Skills & Qualifications
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational discipline
- Shipping experience in a warehouse environment
- ERP or WMS system experience and / or parcel service shipping system experience
- Understanding of Good Documentation Practices
- Bi-lingual in English & Spanish is a plus What Success Looks Like
- Orders processed and loaded on time (OTS)
- Consistently shipping orders accurately and on time while maintaining a safe work environment
- Help create a cleaner more efficient warehouse while finding ways to improve workflow and organization
