1 MATERIAL HANDLER 3rd Shift (9:30PM - 6:00AM) Southington, CT $22.99 - $26.31 /HRLY Job Summary Yarde Metals is looking for a material handler to join our Operations Team. A material handler moves material throughout the warehouse by safely operating a forklift, side loader, and overhead crane. The material handler selects material according to work order instructions. Responsibilities
SAFETY FIRST!
Organize pull tickets according to location and material type and retrieve material from inventory racking system.. Safely operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, side loaders, and overhead cranes). Measure material using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures. Transport and locate material into the inventory racking system. Deliver material to designated saw locations for processing. Record and report any inventory discrepancies. Conduct final inspections to ensure the correct material was pulled for machine operators. Tag and return material drops from processed jobs into appropriate locations. Stage completed orders in appropriate shipping and loading zones for delivery. Prepare and dispose of scrap. Perform additional warehouse duties as directed by supervisor. Requirements & Qualifications •This is a

position: requires operating heavy machinery.•High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Ability to read and understand English to follow work instructions. History of working safely and productively. Forklift operation experience strongly preferred. Basic math skills required to convert decimals and fractions and to accurately use and read tape measures and calipers. Dependable, punctual, and works well with others. Able to pass background check, drug screen, physical, meet physical requirements of the position. Willingness to work required overtime.
