Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team on the second shift. Non-CDL Tractor trailer jockey experience a plus but not required. Loading and unloading trucks with forklift and overhead cranes. Hours 2 pm to 10 pm Monday thru Friday. Responsibilities Load and unload shipments using heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, ensuring safe handling of all materials. Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to accurately pick, pack, and track inventory. Perform order picking tasks with pickers and other tools to fulfill customer orders efficiently. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying shipments against documentation and inspecting for damages or discrepancies. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including stacking pallets safely and ensuring pathways are clear for equipment operation. Conduct heavy lifting tasks regularly while adhering to OSHA safety standards to prevent injuries. Support warehouse supervision by following established procedures for load & unload activities, materials handling, and equipment maintenance. Skills Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related fields with a strong understanding of warehouse operations. Skilled in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, crane systems, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other machinery used in construction or industrial settings. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and order picking technology. Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures. Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while maintaining proper ergonomic practices. Prior experience in warehouse supervisor roles or leadership positions is a plus for growth opportunities within the team. $20.60 - $24.42 per hour
