at Tesla, Inc. in Seaford, Delaware, United States Job Description What to Expect As aEnergy Warehouse Material Handler, you will maintain inventory at a regional Tesla Energy warehouse, ensuring smooth material flow and inventory accuracy. This role involves receiving, issuing, and organizing materials for maximum efficiency; preparing materials in support of Tesla installation, service, and commercial teams; while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Shift:
6:00AM - 12:00PM; Monday - Friday What You'll Do Assist daily operations of material flow, including receiving, issuing, and organizing materials to support installation and service schedules; maintain inventory accuracy and driving continuous improvements Monitor material needs for scheduled orders, track real-time progress to delivery targets, and adjust manpower as needed Review and document inventory counts to ensure accuracy within the warehouse Conduct first-level investigations into quality and safety incidents, documenting findings and proposing preventive actions Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, pallet jacks, and flatbed carts to transport materials to/from receiving and staging areas; prepare outgoing materials using proper packaging methods Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following 5S protocols and ensuring proper PPE usage Collaborate with Warehouse Managers, Lead Material Handlers, and cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, cost, and productivity What You'll Bring Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods, up to 12 hours a day Frequently and repetitively lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs., including the ability to carry 50 lbs. up and down stairs Frequently and repetitively bend, lift, and reach to install vehicle parts Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist, and crawl for extended periods Climb andmaintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, or other high structures Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing Open to schedule flexibility that will allow for various shifts, including days, nights, or weekends as needed Compensation and Benefits Benefits As a part-time Tesla employee, you will be eligible for: 401(k) with employer match Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time Tesla Babies program Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Pet Insurance Tesla is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
