Job Description

Performs hands-on manufacturing, material handling, batching, production support, and equipment housekeeping activities within a plant environment. Job Requirements Ability to safely lift up to 70 lbs. throughout the workday. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperature and physical conditions. Full range of motion required to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, stoop, and kneel. 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20 vision. Ability to hear and speak as required for plant operations and safety procedures. Basic math skills for weighing, batching, and production documentation. Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures. Knowledge of hazard communication requirements. Ability to understand and follow equipment operating manuals, posted facility signage, safety procedures, and standard operating procedures. Ability to demonstrate competency with applicable safety rules and regulations following training. Preferred Skills Previous machine operator or manufacturing experience. Forklift experience. Experience reading and working from standard operating procedures (SOPs). Experience handling chemicals. Experience in chemical or light chemical manufacturing. Experience with batching, weighing, blending, or sampling production materials. Job Responsibilities Place empty pails, buckets, and other containers onto production lines. Perform general production and material handling duties. Batch, weigh, blend, and sample materials according to established specifications and SOPs. Safely handle chemicals and manufacturing materials. Operate production and mixing equipment according to established procedures and equipment manuals. Follow production schedules and assigned manufacturing activities. Monitor multiple production processes as required. Maintain production efficiency to support manufacturing demand. Perform periodic sampling for quality control testing. Coordinate batch activities with production supervision and quality control personnel. Follow established quality control requirements during batching and production. Record inventory movements and batch information on applicable production documentation. Maintain work areas and production equipment through routine housekeeping and cleanup activities. Report equipment problems, production issues, and abnormal operating conditions. Follow applicable safety, quality, security, and operational procedures. Assist with general labor and production support activities as required. Assist with training personnel on the safe operation of mixing equipment as assigned.
