Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a Material Handler / Painter to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, preparing surfaces, and applying prime paint to structrual steel products, marking and staging for shipment. Duties Safely operate forklifts and cranes to move materials within the warehouse and fabrication areas Handle materials with care using hand tools and power tools, ensuring proper storage and transportation Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking using precision measuring instruments and hand tools Apply industrial and construction-grade paints using airless paint spraying equipment or auto painting techniques to achieve smooth, durable finishes Perform auto body repairs and fabrication tasks as needed to meet quality standards Use welding, machining, and assembly skills to support manufacturing processes Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, adhering to lean manufacturing principles for efficiency Conduct quality checks utilizing precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate dimensions and finishes Follow safety protocols when operating machinery such as power tools, welding equipment, or handling hazardous materials Qualifications Proven experience with warehouse operations, materials handling, or manufacturing environments Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and airless paint sprayers Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of fabrication, machining, auto body repair, and auto painting techniques Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely; forklift certification is preferred Strong understanding of industrial painting processes including surface preparation and finishing techniques Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during fabrication or assembly tasks Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction Experience with welding, auto body repair, or working with precision measuring instruments is a plus Warehouse experience combined with knowledge of materials handling procedures Join us in creating high-quality products through skilled craftsmanship and efficient material management!
