for Warehouse Associates in Smyrna, DE offering weekly pay! Starting pay is $20.00/hour. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity! Job Description The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in one of the most physically demanding areas of the facility, handling loading and unloading, order picking, cutting products to customer specifications, and general material handling. This position requires comfort with strenuous physical labor in a fast-paced warehouse environment, strict adherence to safety procedures, and a strong commitment to accuracy and reliability. Responsibilities Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently. Lift, carry, move, and stack heavy materials throughout the warehouse. Operate cutting equipment to process materials according to work orders and customer specifications. Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment. Use RF scanners and related equipment to support order picking, packing, and shipping activities. Verify product quantities and inspect materials for quality issues or damage. Perform general material handling tasks, including unloading, stocking, and organizing inventory. Support shipping and receiving operations as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times. Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines. Adhere to attendance and punctuality expectations to support team productivity. Work overtime when required to meet operational demands. Essential Skills Experience in general labor or warehouse work, including loading, material handling, or manufacturing, preferred. Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for the duration of the shift in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift, carry, move, and stack heavy materials safely and repeatedly. Ability to read work orders and follow instructions accurately. Attention to detail when picking orders, verifying quantities, and inspecting materials for quality and damage. Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety. Excellent attendance and punctuality, with a proven ability to arrive on time consistently. Ability to work overtime as needed to support operational requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in warehouse, shipping and receiving, or distribution settings. Experience with order picking, packing, and material handling. Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory and order management. Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment (if certified and required by the facility). Strong communication skills to follow verbal and written instructions. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy warehouse environment. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, DE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
