Part-Time Warehouse Packing Associate - 2nd
Shift Lighting Plastics Solutions Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, approximately 5:00 PM-10:00 PM or 6:00 PM-11:00PM Employment Type:
Part-Time | Second Shift About the Position Lighting Plastics Solutions is a small, established business seeking a dependable Part-Time Warehouse Packing Associate to support our second-shift warehouse operations. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent part-time evening work in a smaller warehouse environment. Our warehouse is approximately 25,000 square feet with a close-knit team of approximately 15 employees. The primary responsibility of this position is to accurately and carefully prepare customer orders for shipment. Many of our products are plastic lighting components that require careful handling and proper packaging to ensure they arrive to our customers in excellent condition. Because this position works during our second shift, we are looking for someone who is responsible, reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently without constant supervision. What You'll Do- Pick, verify, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Carefully handle plastic lighting components and other products to prevent scratching, cracking, bending, or damage.
- Select appropriate boxes, packing materials, and protective materials for each shipment.
- Verify products and quantities against orders before packages are sealed.
- Properly label and prepare completed packages for shipment.
- Inspect products during the packing process and identify damaged, defective, or incorrect items.
- Maintain an organized packing and work area throughout the shift.
- Restock boxes, packing materials, labels, and other shipping supplies as needed.
- Follow established packing, shipping, quality, and warehouse procedures.
- Safely move products and materials throughout designated warehouse areas.
- Maintain accurate and efficient work while meeting daily shipping priorities.
- Communicate inventory, order, product, equipment, or safety concerns to management.
- Complete basic end-of-shift organization and housekeeping.
- Assist with other general warehouse responsibilities as needed.
You should be:

- Careful when handling products and customer orders.
- Organized and able to maintain a clean work area.
- Comfortable performing repetitive packing and warehouse tasks.
- Able to prioritize work and complete assignments without continuous supervision.
- Comfortable working as part of a small, diverse team.
- Willing to learn our products, packing standards, and shipping procedures. Previous warehouse, packing, shipping, fulfillment, manufacturing, or order-picking experience is helpful but not required for the right candidate. Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
- Regularly bend, reach, carry, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements.
- Safely lift and move boxes and warehouse materials.
- Work comfortably in a warehouse environment.
- Safely use basic warehouse and packing equipment after appropriate training. Safety All employees are expected to:
- Follow company safety procedures and safe work practices consistent with applicable OSHA requirements.
- Use required personal protective equipment when applicable.
- Keep aisles, exits, packing stations, and work areas clear and organized.
- Follow proper lifting and material-handling practices.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, spills, injuries, or other safety concerns.
- Only operate equipment for which they have been properly trained and authorized.
