General Labor/Prestress Plant Team Member

Precast Team Member is responsible for assisting in the production, assembly, finishing, and handling of precast concrete products used in infrastructure, construction, and public works projects. This role involves hands-on labor in a manufacturing or yard setting, ensuring products meet quality, safety, and engineering standards. Key Responsibilities Assist in the setup, forming, and stripping of precast concrete molds Pour, spread, and finish concrete according to production specifications Install reinforcing steel (rebar) and embedded hardware as required Clean, prepare, and maintain molds and casting equipment Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and light machinery safely Move, lift, and position precast concrete products using cranes or forklifts (with training/certification if required) Inspect finished products for quality control and report defects Follow production schedules to meet daily and weekly output goals Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and county safety standards Assist other team members as needed in all stages of production Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred (not always required) Previous experience in construction, concrete work, manufacturing, or similar labor-intensive roles preferred Ability to read basic measurements and follow instructions Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly Strong attention to detail and safety awareness Willingness to learn and work as part of a team Preferred Skills Experience with precast concrete or general concrete finishing Forklift or crane operation experience (certification a plus) Familiarity with construction drawings or blueprints Mechanical aptitude Work Environment Industrial yard or precast manufacturing facility Exposure to dust, noise, and heavy equipment Requires standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive physical tasks Minutemen Staffing provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
