Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Tanker Loader, where you'll play a vital role in safely and efficiently loading liquid cargo onto tanker trucks. Perform duties to inspect, load, and offload juice tanker trucks and take product samples for quality testing in accordance with shipping orders, procedures, and requirements, working within the limits of prescribed routines and within the guidelines of food safety and within the limits of standard or accepted methods and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Work from schedules, work orders, bills of lading, weight tickets, procedures, and instructions. 2. Perform inspection of tanker for damage, sanitation, and overall condition of tanker and seals. Inspect, maintain, and store loading equipment. 3. Conduct swab test for contaminants and complete proper documentation daily. Report out of tolerance conditions to supervisor. 4. Collect and store product samples as required for daily USDA analysis. 5. Check shipping orders and weight tickets to determine which trailer or tanker is to be moved to loading, transfer, or offloading location. Verify that load meets specifications of job order based on USDA testing results and notify supervisor for out of specification results. Complete bill of lading and issue documentation to driver. 6. Follow tanker ship offloading procedures including squeegee of product residual daily. Assist in hook up of hose trailer to prepare for connection of hoses and feed lines to ship and cold tunnel. Discharge and disconnect hookup after vessel offloading and assist during draining process. 7. Train temporary help on proper procedures and monitor and assist drum filling and dumping operations as needed. 8. Perform operational pre-check of fork truck and operate fork truck to assist with the movement of inventory and the loading or unloading of trucks. Record loading data as required and submit for processing.
OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
1. Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups as directed and maintain required level of knowledge pertaining to operating procedures, requirements, processes, and policies. 2. Follow safety rules, ensure safe operating conditions are followed within area of responsibility, wear required personal protective equipment and clothing, and keep work area in clean and orderly condition. 3. Perform or assist with any assignments as required or directed. 4. Participate in general facility and grounds maintenance and material movement operations in as assigned.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Use forklift, safety harness, wrenches, mallet, hoses, buckets, brooms, hoses, and required personal protective equipment and clothing.
EXPERIENCE
High School and a minimum one (1) Year of experience in related job functions required
OTHER KNOWLEDGES
Citrus background preferred.
Pay:
$16.25 - $17.00 per hour
