Job Description

- Material Handler III
- Time Upload#26-21146 Largo, FL Onsite Job Description 1st Shift
Hours:
6am- 2:30pm Monday through Friday.
Pay Rate:
- /hr Possible temp to hire Summary Material Handlers contribute to our mission of saving and sustaining lives by receiving, distribution, storing, and maintenance of inventory items.
- Adheres to all environmental, health and safety SOP's, equipment, policies and procedures, including any department specific requirements.
- Maintains a mindset that all accidents can be prevented and work proactively to achieve zero harm in the workplace.
- Follows defined Quality Management Systems, all applicable procedures, reviews maintenance records, and completes all documentation as required.
- Controls and maintains the flow of material through the storeroom through production or distribution.
- Receives incoming material into the facility in accordance with procedures.
- Performs cycle counts.
- Works with customer service, supply chain, receiving & inspection, and quality personnel to resolve issues as needed.
- Works independently as a part of a team to achieve process yield results.
- May train employees on an as needed basis.
- May coordinate the daily activities of other material handlers.
- May prepare customer orders for shipment.
- May use and operate forklift equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to follow work instructions is required.
- Proficient computer skills required to enter data, navigate, and routinely toggle between various application systems.
- Must have experience with Electronic Inventory Management Systems (MRP / ERP).
- Must be comfortable with being trained to operate forklift and ability to operate other material handling equipment (ex. pallet jack or walkie stacker).
- Must be able to wear applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas as required including safety glasses at all times.
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent walking, stooping, reaching, climbing, overhead reaching, grasping and using fine & gross motor manipulation.
- Must be able to lift up to 18lbs on a routine basis and up to 66lbs on an occasional basis.
- Ability to work overtime as needed. Experience and Education
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Plus 2-3 years related experience required
