Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic marina team as a Marina Dockhand, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and safety of our waterfront facilities. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, assist boaters, and maintain the marina's appearance and functionality. As a Dockhand, you will be the friendly face welcoming guests, moving boats, and helping to uphold our high standards of safety and service. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will contribute to creating an enjoyable and secure environment for all visitors. Duties Assist with mooring boats, ensuring secure docking and undocking procedures Support rigging activities by helping with securing lines, and other gear on boats Conduct safety inspections of vessels Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, giving directions, and assisting boaters with their needs Maintain cleanliness of docks, walkways, and common areas to ensure a safe and inviting environment Skills Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina Strong communication skills to interact positively with boaters and team members Attention to detail for safety inspections and equipment checks Willingness to learn new skills related to marina operations and safety protocols Qualifications Previous dock, marina, warehouse, or labor experience preferred but not required Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions Reliable transportation and strong attendance record Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and customer service skills Able to operate and dock boats This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant waterfront community while developing valuable skills in marine operations.
