Job title Laborer Reports to Operations Manager, Project Superintendent & Foreman Location Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Remote Projects Locations Duties and Responsibilities Laborers are workers who have a significant amount of work experience in the industry. They are equipped with intermediate skills such as using Broom, Shovel, Vacuum, Pressure Washing, Operating Buck Hoist, Elevators, Controlling & Directing Traffic, Controlling Pedestrian Foot Traffic, etc. In addition to that if qualified and trained operate machinery Lull, Forklift, Ariel Working Platform, etc. The Laborers works with the Project Superintendent or Foreman on the day-to-day project operations tasks. Follow instruction from supervisor Sweeping Removing debris, hazards and obstacles Daily job site clean up Cleaning and preparing construction site Loading and unloading materials Key Runner Digging trenches, backfill holes Set up temporary structures like ladders & scaffolding Operating a wheelbarrow, carts or dollies Manual handling of material Vacuuming (changing bags, filters, create a dustless environment) Assist in painting preparation Assist in waterproofing Assist in demolition Assisting Carpenter in their duties as helper when required Report via text message daily work activities and hours worked Work is physically demanding & usually takes place outdoors in all types of weather conditions Requirements Strong work ethic, ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Clear communication skills. Intermediate knowledge of math Must be physically fit (able to lift and move 50 lbs over 100 meters). Physical stamina to work in exterior areas exposed to sunlight & extreme heat. Must be safety conscious. Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to utilize electronic devices such as smart phones, tablets, and computers. Ability to complete assigned tasks. Ability to follow basic directions. Willingness to function as part of a team and work with others. Strict adherence to workplace safety regulations. Following health and safety regulations, including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standard. Work full-time hours, often starting early in the morning.
