Job Summary Join our vibrant café team as a Cafe Team Member and become the heart of a lively, welcoming environment! In this role, you'll deliver exceptional customer service, prepare and serve high-quality coffee and food items, and ensure smooth daily operations. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in food service, retail math, and customer engagement while working in a dynamic setting. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit Prepare and serve coffee beverages, teas, snacks, and light food items with precision and care Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling and sales processing Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols Manage cash register transactions efficiently, including cash handling, basic math calculations, and receipt issuance Restock supplies, monitor inventory levels, and organize product displays to enhance the customer experience Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or packaging baked goods to ensure quality standards are met Experience Previous barista or café experience is highly preferred to ensure familiarity with coffee preparation and food service routines Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests Experience using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales transactions Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures in a retail or food industry setting Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods Basic math proficiency for cash handling, retail math calculations, and balancing registers Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join us in creating an inviting space where great coffee meets exceptional service!
