Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials within the warehouse environment. Your efforts will ensure smooth warehouse operations, accurate inventory management, and timely shipping and receiving processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse experience, proficiency with heavy equipment operation, and a commitment to safety protocols. Responsibilities Safely load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and cranes, adhering to OSHA safety standards. Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, clamp trucks, and RF scanners to pick, pack, and organize inventory efficiently. Manage inventory levels through accurate data entry and tracking using inventory management systems; conduct regular cycle counts. Prepare shipments by loading materials onto trucks and ensuring proper documentation for shipping and receiving activities. Assist in order picking processes by accurately selecting items based on order specifications and preparing them for dispatch. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by properly storing materials on pallets or shelves. Follow safety protocols diligently during all manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting or bulky items. Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating with supervisors to optimize space utilization and workflow. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies during all operations involving heavy equipment or manual handling. Experience Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with knowledge of warehouse operations is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and load/unload machinery. Experience with inventory management systems and RF scanners for order picking and stock control. Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, including proper documentation practices. Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse setting is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong manual handling skills combined with basic math proficiency for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments. Knowledge of safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling. Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
