The ideal candidate ensures safe and efficient deliveries and pickups, maintains vehicle safety, and contributes to an organized warehouse operation. Familiarity with plumbing materials is a plus. Primary Responsibilities Safely operate delivery trucks and transport materials to various locations in compliance with company policies, DOT laws, and safety regulations Load and unload materials, ensuring secure fastening and safe delivery Maintain proper documentation for all deliveries, including verifying order accuracy and submitting daily driving logs Conduct vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance; report mechanical issues to management Handle hazardous materials safely and ensure DOT compliance Resolve shipping discrepancies promptly and collect payments for cash sales when needed Perform general warehouse duties: receiving, organizing, maintaining inventory, and operating material-handling equipment Follow all safety protocols and participate in required safety training Perform other duties as assigned to support overall project and company success Qualifications Valid CDL with a clean driving record Ability to operate vehicles with a GVWR over 26,001 lbs. Proven experience driving box trucks and flatbed trucks Experience pulling trailers with heavy equipment as cargo Forklift operation and heavy equipment driving experience Strong understanding of load securement and safety procedures Ability to safely operate and maneuver large vehicles and equipment in various environments Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Basic math skills for inventory and material tracking Professional demeanor with customers, vendors, and co-workers Comfortable working in high-pressure or emergency situations Familiarity with plumbing materials is a plus Dependable and safety-focused A proactive problem solver with a strong work ethic Committed to customer satisfaction and teamwork Travel Requirements This position requires regular travel to project sites within Florida. A company vehicle and gas card are provided for all business-related travel. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
