Description:
Role Overview:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for maintaining all stock inventory and pulling orders for manufacturing according to designated work orders by performing the following duties. These duties may vary to include some or all the following job responsibilities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Determines work assignments and material/equipment needs based on written work orders or oral instructions. Responsible for order-fulfillment including packaging and banding orders, labeling product, and stacking finished orders on skids. May be required to maintain all stock inventories for warehouse daily. Maneuvers heavy materials with the use of forklift, pallet and hand truck as required. Responsible for unskilled production work on assembly line. Clean and organize workstation throughout the day. Loads and unloads trucks as required. Maintains and ensures all machines and equipment are functioning according to established work standards and follows all safety guidelines and regulations. Assists shipping area with package procedures, including label printing, as requested. Monitors products for quality and uniformity; reports problems to Lead/Supervisor/Manager in timely manner. May be asked to stand in as a backup for Line Leads as needed. Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Key Performance Indicators:
Unload/load trucks in accordance with allowable free time. Maintain high quality in production. Work at pace consistent with production cycle times.
Requirements:
Required Education/Experience and Skills:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred. Forklift experience is preferred. Prior experience performing physical labor in a production environment is preferred. Ability to follow directions, work well in a team, and work in a variety of roles. Ability to handle materials and equipment in a responsible manner. Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company products and terminology. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent customer service and time management skills. Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Capacity to handle prolonged periods of sedentary work or physical activity depending on job demands. Must be able to occasionally stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to frequently use hands, talk or hear. Must be able to lift and move up to 50-75 pounds at times. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.
