Job Title:
Warehouse Specialist Job Description The Warehouse Specialist plays a key role in daily warehouse operations by accurately receiving and shipping customer orders, safely operating material handling equipment, and maintaining organized inventory. This position supports efficient order fulfillment by loading and unloading trucks, picking orders, and handling materials with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and attention to detail. Responsibilities Receive incoming customer orders and verify accuracy against documentation. Prepare, pack, and ship outgoing customer orders in a timely and accurate manner. Unload incoming trucks and load outgoing trucks using appropriate material handling equipment. Perform material handling tasks, including moving, staging, and organizing products within the warehouse. Pick orders according to pick lists or system instructions, ensuring correct items and quantities. Support inventory activities, including counting, tracking, and organizing stock to maintain accurate inventory levels. Operate stand-up forklifts and cherry pickers safely to move and retrieve materials. Follow all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines while operating equipment and handling materials. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area to support smooth warehouse operations. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve issues and improve workflow. Essential Skills Experience with warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving. Proficiency in material handling tasks such as loading and unloading trucks. Order picking experience with strong attention to accuracy and detail. Stand-up forklift operating experience. Cherry picker operating experience. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment and inventory handling. Ability to follow safety procedures and operate warehouse equipment responsibly. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a warehouse environment. Experience with inventory activities such as counting and organizing stock. Comfort operating multiple types of material handling equipment, including forklifts and cherry pickers. Work Environment This role is based in a warehouse environment. The facility is non-temperature controlled, so conditions may vary with the seasons. The team is small, with a total headcount of approximately five employees, fostering a close-knit and collaborative atmosphere. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The position involves regular use of warehouse material handling equipment such as stand-up forklifts and cherry pickers, as well as routine loading, unloading, and order picking activities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austell, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
