In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently unloading containers, handling materials with care, and ensuring that goods are accurately transferred into our warehouse system. Your proactive approach and attention to safety will contribute to a seamless shipping and receiving process, supporting our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Safely unload containers using heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately track and document incoming shipments. Perform heavy lifting tasks and materials handling to load and unload goods efficiently without compromising safety or quality. Assist with order picking using pickers and ensure accurate order fulfillment for shipping or storage. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate the movement of goods, ensuring timely unloading and proper placement within the warehouse. Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment operation, mechanical systems, and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying shipment contents, inspecting containers for damage, and preparing items for storage or dispatch. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related construction environments. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners. Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS). Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while maintaining proper safety procedures. Warehouse experience combined with previous warehouse supervisor experience is preferred. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking and load & unload processes.
