Job Description
Our client is looking for a Material Handler in Bogart, GA! This is an initial 2-month contract opportunity with the likeliness of a direct offer, and offering a pay rate of $20.00 an hour.
Schedule:
Monday- Friday, 1st shift 7:30 AM
- 4:00 PM Key Responsibilities
- Move recyclable material through the facility
- Conducts material grading and evaluates for sale destination.
- Moves material through the facility with the use of material handling equipment (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, handcarts, hoists, cranes) as required
- Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
- Uses PC tablets to dispense and receive information such as part numbers, quantities, locations, comments, etc.
- Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers
- Properly documents work performed. Required Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to work independently with little direction and as a member of a team
- Valid driver's license and valid, consistent and reliable vehicle for mode of transportation
Work Environment:
- Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) most of the workday
- Required to exert physical effort in handling objects up to 30 pounds most of the workday
- Required to exert physical effort in handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) most of the workday
- Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements most of the workday
