Job Description
Key Job Responsibilities:
All aspects of supplying materials to the boiler
•from receiving, to inventory management, to feeding the system
•including wood, rejects and alternative fuels.
Understanding and adjusting fuel type and feed to maximize boiler efficiency.
Unloading materials from various sources: docked trucks; trucks with walking floors; trucks on tippers.
Keep Fuel Prep System supplied with materials at all times
•which could include driving a loader or forklift to feed the walking floor; operating a knuckle boom to feed the pit.
Empty material bins including the BC-04 and BC-06 metal bins, and all other tramp material bins. Clean and maintain equipment in the Fuel Prep building
•including conveyors, belts, shredders and sorters.
Keep the containment pit free of debris.
Rotational responsibilities in the Wood yard area: maintaining the wood storage pile
•rotating inventory, mixing in sludge, tipping trucks; maintain wood on the drag chain; move and rotate reject pile.
Rotational responsibilities in the general housekeeping area: operating the street sweeper, cleaning under the boiler and operating a back pack blower.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
Adhere to all safety expectations.
Maintain good housekeeping.
Assist with other equipment operations when the need arises.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
RequirementsAbility to lift 30 pounds.
Must be able to pass drug and background screening.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Perform all job duties in a safe manner. Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
Ability to read and apply content in instruction manuals to repair industrial equipment.
Sense of urgency in operating and maintaining systems and equipment; timely communications to Senior Operator/supervisor and team members.
