Non-Ferrous Warehouse Operator Do you enjoy working with people, working in recycling , operating equipment, and working in an environment where every day is different? Greenworks Solutions is hiring a Non-Ferrous Warehouse Operator to join our growing team. This is a hands-on position that combines customer service, scrap purchasing, material sorting and grading, forklift operation, and warehouse responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with customers, operating floor scales and forklifts, identifying and grading non-ferrous materials, and helping customers understand and properly sort their materials. What You'll Do Purchase scrap and non-ferrous materials from customers Provide friendly and professional customer service throughout the buying process Operate floor scales and accurately weigh incoming materials Identify, sort, and grade different types of non-ferrous scrap and recyclable materials Help customers understand different material types, grades, and pricing Assist customers with unloading, sorting, and properly separating materials when needed Operate a forklift to safely load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers Load outbound trucks and trailers according to company procedures Prepare materials for processing, shipment, and sale Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety issues Follow all company safety procedures and equipment operating requirements Work with the team to maintain an efficient and professional customer experience You'll Be Successful in This Role If You Enjoy working with customers and providing excellent service Are comfortable working with numbers, weights, and material pricing Have an interest in scrap metal and recycling Can learn to identify different types and grades of non-ferrous materials Are comfortable operating a forklift and other material-handling equipment Pay close attention to detail when weighing and purchasing materials Are dependable, hardworking, and safety-conscious Can work in a fast-paced environment Take pride in keeping your work area clean and organized Can work independently while also being part of a team Are comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions Are willing to learn and grow within the recycling industry Even Better If You Have Previous experience in scrap metal, recycling, waste management, or material purchasing Knowledge of non-ferrous metals and scrap grades Previous forklift experience or certification Experience loading and unloading trucks and trailers Warehouse, yard, or material-handling experience Experience operating floor scales or truck scales Customer service or purchasing experience Experience operating loaders, skid steers, or other heavy equipment Basic computer and inventory-management skills Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills What Greenworks Solutions Offers Competitive pay based on experience Full-time employment Paid time off Professional and team-oriented work environment Training and support from an experienced team Opportunity to learn and grow within the recycling and waste-management industry Hands-on experience with scrap purchasing, material grading, logistics, and equipment A fast-paced work environment where every day is different About Greenworks Solutions Greenworks Solutions provides scrap and recycling services to commercial customers and businesses.
