Quanex is looking for a Shipping Warehouse Person - 1st Shift (7a-3p) to join our team located in Jackson, GA. We Offer You! Shift:
7am to 3pmWhat Success Looks Like:
Work from orders, schedules, shipping, receiving papers, lists, tally sheets, instructions to check, and load correctly marked cartons to achieve economical use of cargo space and to minimize in-transit damage. Check, weigh count, unload, sign for incoming material; ensure accurate count, report missing product, take photographs of damaged items. Operate lift truck to move, pick up, stack, shelve, and deliver material, and process outgoing United Parcel Service shipments. Load and operate equipment to band material. Fill out daily truck maintenance report, perform trailer inspections, check battery, and put electric truck on charge at end of shift. Report malfunctions and unusual conditions; keep equipment and work area in clean, orderly condition. Follow all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; and notify the supervisor/team lead of any existing or potential safety issues. Responsible for attending work on time and for scheduled hours each day. Meet deadlines, detail oriented and willingness to learn. Other tasks as assigned.Your Credentials:
