Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make an impact this summer by supporting a homebound student as a Paraprofessional during our summer school session. This contract role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with students, helping to facilitate virtual occupational therapy (OT), physical therapy (PT), and speech-language pathology (SLP) sessions. If you are passionate about student success, enjoy working in a one-on-one environment, and are looking to make a difference over the summer, this is the perfect assignment for you.
Key Qualifications:
Experience as a paraprofessional, particularly within a school setting. Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage virtual learning technology. Compassion, patience, and dedication to supporting students with unique needs. Capability to follow directions from therapists and coordinate virtual sessions. Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, therapists, and caregivers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Facilitate and supervise virtual OT, PT, and SLP sessions for a homebound student. Collaborate with therapists to ensure students remain engaged and receive effective support. Assist in setting up technology and ensuring all sessions run smoothly. Maintain accurate records of attendance and progress. Provide encouragement and motivational support throughout each session. This summer position will run from June 1st through July 16th, with daily hours of 11:45am to 2:45pm, allowing you to enjoy your summer mornings and evenings. The role is conveniently based near Jackson, GA, focusing on consistent, meaningful interaction with one student and a collaborative team of therapists.
