Job Description
Best Flooring Honolulu is an Oahu-based distributor and importer of construction materials. We sell retail, wholesale, and bulk across Oahu and ship to all Hawaiian Islands. We're hiring a Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations and customer service in a fast-paced construction-materials environment. Because we're a smaller operation, this role mixes hands-on warehouse work with direct customer contact, so we're looking for someone reliable who's comfortable wearing a few hats. What you'll do: Collect and prepare paid orders for pickup and delivery Help walk-in customers, answer product questions, and point them to the right flooring and wall panels Cut flooring and wall-panel samples and assemble sample displays Unload containers using a forklift on arrival days Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized Perform routine and quarterly inventory counts Open and close the warehouse What we're looking for: Prior warehouse experience (required) Forklift experience; certification a plus Comfortable talking with customers and helping them directly Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and a safety-first mindset Able to read, write, and speak English Able to lift, carry, and load up to 75 lbs Reliable transportation to our Waipio warehouse Available on container-arrival days (occasional extended hours) What we offer: Overtime at 1.5× for hours over 40/week Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid vacation and sick leave Employee discounts on flooring and building materials On-the-job training and raises based on performance and reliability Stable, year-round work with consistent hours and no night shifts
