Tanker Endorsement Full Job Description Job Summary:
Responsible for supporting parts warehouse operations and providing timely, accurate, and professional parts delivery to customers. This role combines warehouse responsibilities with direct customer interaction and requires a strong focus on safety, service quality, and relationship building.
Essential Duties:
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse and delivery environment. Receive, stock, pick, package, and ship inventory accurately in accordance with company systems, layouts, and procedures. Load, secure, and deliver parts, units, and materials to customers, vendors, and company locations in a safe and timely manner. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, company vehicles, and unit apparatus in compliance with company, customer, traffic, and DOT requirements. Conduct 360-degree walkaround inspections with photos to verify apparatus condition, secure loose items, and report any damage prior to movement. Verify delivery accuracy, obtain required signatures or documentation, and communicate delays, discrepancies, or customer feedback to the appropriate team. Provide professional, courteous customer service and route complex issues to the appropriate team member. Periodically relocate units, as required. Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
Valid Class A or B (non-exempt) CDL with acceptable driving record, current DOT medical card, and required air brake and tanker endorsements. Forklift certified or willing to obtain upon hire. Minimum of one (1) year of parts, warehouse, delivery, or customer-service experience preferred. Forklift certified or willing to obtain upon hire. Ability to safely lift, move, and transport parts and materials. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Self-motivated with a demonstrated record of integrity, dependability, and acceptable safety and performance standards. Familiarity with unit operations and systems preferred.
ADA Requirements:
Stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, reach or otherwise move frequently. Occasional repetitive motion and grasping. Occasional climbing to reach areas on equipment or racks. Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. occasionally, >20 lbs. frequently. Typically sits, grasp items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer. Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may include moving mechanical parts.
