Our company is looking for an individual interested in a challenging and rewarding career as a Feed Mill Warehouse Operator. This candidate should be willing to work in a fast-paced environment, be able to work independently and as part of a team, be able to think creatively to solve problems that might arise. Responsible for receiving, storing, staging, and inventorying raw ingredients, bagged feed, and micro-ingredients within the feed mill warehouse.
Responsibilities:
Receiving & Unloading:
Inspect, unload, and sample incoming bulk and bagged ingredients, verifying packing slips against purchase orders.
Inventory Control & Staging:
Stage bag orders that are needed for our route truck or customer pickup; practice strict First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory rotation. Assist in staging bagged feed ingredients and liquid totes for production runs
Ordering & Scheduling:
The operator will be required to keep track of mill needs and inventory, place orders with our preferred suppliers, and communicate frequently with our sales team when new ingredients arrive to determine the expected usage.
Equipment Operation:
Safely operate forklifts, skid steers, pallet jacks, and bagging systems.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with FDA regulations (cGMPs), FSMA, and state feed safety guidelines; conduct visual quality checks for pest damage or contamination.
Housekeeping & Safety:
Maintain clean warehouse bays and aisles, monitor dust accumulation, and strictly follow lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) and confined space protocols.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
