GED Full Job Description SUMMARY:
An employee in this position is responsible for performing heavy lifting, material inventories, shipping and receiving, repacking various products according to EPA and 1,4GROUP specifications. Ensures safety of employees who are working on projects in the warehouse areas. Responsible for training employees who assist in the warehouse, maintaining procedures and other warehouse documentation. Work is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions. Work is performed with a high degree of independence and is supervised by the Operations Manager.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Label and prepare drums and pails for production Accurately, weigh, pour and palletize finished good pallets for stock- Inventories material and supplies in the warehouse; works with accounting on ordering/restocking items.
- Coordinates shipments to and from multiple warehouses, both local and remote locations
- Follow up on customer orders, investigate issues with shipments, and communicate to sales team
- Work with sales team to ensure unique shipment methods, carriers, etc. are understood and met
- Receives, stores, and issues material and supplies to customers.
- Places incoming supplies on shelves or in assigned areas.
- Assists with the checking in of purchase orders.
- Loads and unloads supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Operates the necessary equipment to support the warehouse.
- Responsible for preparing, loading, and shipping of all commercial products regardless of quantities.
- Performs related duties as assigned by Operations Manager.
- Physical cleanliness of the warehouse
- Recommend improvement to processes if necessary.
- Communicate with local shipping companies.
- Hazmat knowledge and working toward onsite expert on Hazmat shipping requirements.
- Maintain small pack area, up to and including organization, cleanliness, and supply inventories.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Basic knowledge of a warehouse operation
- Create and update warehouse procedures
- Ability to follow established policies and procedures.
- Ability to maintain and keep accurate records.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Able to communicate effectively in oral and written forms.
- Able to follow instructions and organize work duties accordingly.
- Able to be flexible in work assignments and accept changes in duties and work assignments as needed.
- Hazmat shipping requirements, Domestic and International
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- Graduation from high school and two years of experience in a related position (truck driver/delivery/inventory work) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- UPS/Fed X/DHL/Ocean
